Welcome to the 10th Annual Rick's Run
October 9 2022

We are planning another great event to celebrate the 10th running of the Rick O'Donnell 5.22 mile Trail Race and Ultra Challenge. We hope you'll join us!

Rick's Run honors the memory of beloved FSRC runners, including Rick O' Donnell, Larry Key, and John Godinet. These runners embody the traits we most admire: character, perseverance, kindness, and a profound joy in sharing their love of running.

NOTE:  Registration will be open until 8:30am on race morning, but you MUST register online using your own device. Please register at home before you arrive at the venue or on your own phone when you get to Greenbrier State Park.  We will not be processing in-person registrations at the race venue.

Who We Help

Net proceeds from the Rick O'Donnell 5.22 Mile Trail Run and Ultra Challenge benefit the Frederick Steeplechasers Memorial Scholarship Fund. The race raised $9,519 for the scholarship fund in 2021.

Scholarships are awarded in the spring to deserving high school seniors who embody the character and integrity of the Steeplechaser members to whom we dedicate this race.  The Frederick Steeplechasers have awarded $45,500 in scholarships to 28 recipients since 2016. About the Frederick Steeplechasers

The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club has been supporting runners, hosting races, and volunteering in the Frederick community since 1975.   We promote running as a fun and healthy activity, and welcome runners of all ages and abilities.  The Steeplechasers donate net proceeds of their four "Signature Races" to the community. In 2021 FSRC raised over $63,000 for local charitable causes through our four Signature Races.
